     When I met Joy Ogunsanya last year, it took only a few minutes for us to completely get eachother. Within minutes, we were taking about how we wanted to change the world, six months later, I am writing about how this movement has begun. A few months back, January to be precise, Operation Get Equipment was lunch and the Paraphrase Operation GEquipmenT didn't take too long to surface      Operation GEquipmenT was deliberate in its goals and a clear cut action was aligned with it. Operation GEquipmenT was going to provide equipments like laptops, sewing machines etc for less privileged kids in orphanages. The journey began with raising funds through any genuine means possible. We went round Akure sharing flyers, inviting people to come and wash their vehicle the next Saturday at a designated Car Wash. The funds didn't roll in as expected from the charity event and suggestions began to pour in as to how the initiative should take a new shape. ...

     The International Women's Day 2019 campaign theme of #BalanceforBetter is a call-to-action for driving gender balance across the world.      The movement dates as far back as 1909 but the United Nations didn't adopt it until 1975. It's celebrated in some countries and a public holiday is given while it's completely ignored in some others.     It's been discovered that only 23% of legislators all over the world are women while the percentage is much lower in Nigeria. And this is what this year's theme tends to highlight.      Several organizations in Nigeria alone have joined the band wagon to create an awareness for equality in work places and government in particular and many politicians have taken to Twitter to show their support which is a good thing.      But it shouldn't just end here.      Have you ever wondered why February 14 makes you crazy as a person? Is it because Valentine's day is a social event or because you personally have a deep-seated conviction that lovers should have a special day.      Now think about it, why should true love be celebrated only ones a year? This is why I think it's a scam. Who is fooling who, that's for you to decide? Is it the mainstream media, or the companies who manufacture goods which skyrocket in sales on this day or is it the lover who only thinks of his or her deep affection for you ones in 365 days?      My girl and I have been together for five years and never for ones, have we celebrated Valentine's day. Not because we can't afford to get gifts for each other on such a beautiful occasion, but because we do that all year round.      Okay, so, if you have some spare time on your hands and you are into the whole 'end is nigh' kind of movie, then BIRD BOX is for you. Don't think you would find any deep meaning to this movie cus it's got non. Don't think you will have the kind of guts and blood you get from a typical horror movie, you'll be disappointed. This movie is a total 'jack of all trade, master of non' kind. It's a sci-fi, action, mystery,  horror film with no particular heads or tails.      Though I agree that one movie could mean many things to many different people after seeing my sister crying and my girlfriend so excited like she just saw the best movie ever, Bird Box still remains the most open-end movie I have seen in a long time. With no specific explanation to so many things in the movie, you would almost think the producers didn't watch the movie when they were done with production.     For a post apocalyptic movie, this is not the best...
